Bukowo, Białogard County

Bukowo ( German Alt Buckow ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the Gmina Tychowo ( Tychowo ) in the powiat Białogardzki ( Belgard ).

Old Buckow located 23 kilometers east of Belgard on a side road branching from the province road 167 Koszalin - Tychowo. In the east the Chotla ( Kautel ), formerly the boundary between the Principality of Pomerania and the Belgard flows. North of the village is the railway line Białogard - Świelino ( Schwellin ).

In the 16th century the family of Münchow is mentioned as the owner. 1804, the Lieutenant Christopher Casimir is called by verses as squire, who the estate in 1810 his daughter sold it further inherited.

The manor house stood on a steep hill sloping to Kautelbach. East of the village of Old stretched Buckower forest.

The community has always been closely connected with the village of New Buckow. So it came as part of the Office New Buckow in 1932 from district to district Koszalin Belgard ( Persante ). Old Buckow was part of the parish of New Buckow, which in turn belonged to the parish of Tychowo the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union.
