Bürchau since 1 January 2009, a district of the municipality in the district of Lörrach Small meadow valley in Baden- Württemberg.

The community Bürchau belonged to until its dissolution to Gemeindeverwaltungsverband " Small meadow valley " located in Tegernau. The community Bürchau consisted of the districts Bürchau, Oberbürchau, Kastel, Rütte and Sonnhalden.

Geography

The small spa resort Bürchau is 600 to 1000 meters altitude in Southern Black Forest reserve in the valley of the Little meadow. Forests cover 75% of former municipal area.

History

Bürchau was first documented in 1278. Since 1503 the village belonged to the Margraviate of Baden -Durlach. Since 1 January 2009, the formerly independent municipality Bürchau belongs to the newly established municipality Small meadow valley.
