Cadwork

Cadwork is a commercial CAD program which can be used in many areas of planning. This program is suitable for timber builders, designers and architectural draftsman and civil engineering draftsman.

Versions

The current version of cadwork 2D and 3D cadwork is cadwork 19.1.

Modules

In the 2 -D module to work with normal lines and surfaces. The land within the meaning of the various hatches, etc. In the 3- D module is, however, operates with volume to represent walls to generate wood and steel frameworks and plan three-dimensional nodes. Here everything is set up in a three dimensional space and can then be rotated thereby and played an unlimited amount.

Concrete

The two-dimensional variant is suitable for concrete structures especially for work plans, while the 3 -D module is better for tenders and competitions for a construction project. In the latter case, the use of another program such as Revit or ArchiCAD is more appropriate.

Cadwork 2D

Cadwork 2D is the entry module in the program package of cadwork.

It is a 2.5D CAD system that allows, besides the two-dimensional processing and the carrying height information. Thus, a smooth transition into cadwork 3D is possible.

The mindset of the draftsman and designer is reflected here and secures the logical work because all the lines are self- defined by the user. The subscriber can therefore create any shape without much effort. The lines can then be converted into surfaces, and can then be filled with a hatch.

Cadwork 3D

Cadwork 3D is a 3D-CAD/CAM-System. The applications are mainly seen in timber and steel construction. cadwork 3D offers the possibility of free volume models work. These have an internal axis (length, width and height) which allow the individual components in a simple manner to create complex three-dimensional structures. There are several add-on modules, such as a wizard for entering a roof, an assistant for the element mesh of walls or even the output of the individual components as dimensioned 2D detail drawings or CNC joinery machine.
