Caimito is a city and a municipality in the Cuban province of Artemisa. By 2010, the municipality belonged to the defunct province of La Habana.

The city is located west and north of Alquizar of Bauta. The settlement was officially founded in 1910.

The municipality counts 36,813 inhabitants in an area of 238 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 154.7 inhabitants per square kilometer.

The municipality is divided into four neighborhoods ( Barrio ): Caimito Guayabal, Perfecto Lacoste and Quintana.
