History

The Cambio Mobility Services GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2000 from the merger of carsharing companies Stadtteilauto Aachen, Bremen city car and StattAuto Cologne. City car Bremen and Stadtteilauto Aachen arose independently in 1990, StattAuto Cologne in 1992.

Stadtteilauto Aachen brought in 2000 a newly formed subsidiary company, as the Saar mobile Carsharing GmbH. In October 2001, the Bielefeld carsharing company CityMobil joined the Cambio Group. In April 2003, grew out of the Oldenburg car sharing club Stadtteilauto the company Cambio Oldenburg and Hamburg also opened Cambio in 2003.
