Camille du Locle

Camille du Locle (* July 16, 1832 in Orange ( Vaucluse), † December 9, 1903 on Capri ) was a French theater director and librettist.

Du Locle in 1869 assistant to his father Emile Perin, director of the Paris Opera was. From 1870 to 1874 he headed jointly with Adolphe de Leuven, the Opéra -Comique. In this role he was the composition of Georges Bizet's famous opera Carmen in order, which was premiered here in 1875.
