Canton of Archiac

The Canton Archiac is a French administrative unit in the district Jonzac, in the Charente -Maritime in the Poitou -Charentes; its chief town is Archiac.

Geography

The Canton Archiac is 19,524 acres ( 195.24 km ²) in size and has 6,148 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponds to a population density of about 31 inhabitants per km ². He is on average 66 meters above sea level, between 8 meters in Celles and 121 meters in Saint -Eugène.
