Canton of Burie

The Canton Burie is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Saintes, in the Charente -Maritime in the Poitou -Charentes; its chief town is Burie.

Geography

The Canton Burie is 12,356 acres ( 123.56 km ²) in size and has 6,519 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponds to a population density of about 53 inhabitants per km ². He is on average 41 meters above sea level, between 2 meters and 66 meters in Chérac in Burie.
