Kevin's cousin alone in the supermarket (Original Title: Career Opportunities ) is an American comedy directed by Bryan Gordon of 1991, which was produced by John Hughes.
Action
The 21 -year-old Jim Dodge is in the small town where he lives with his family, decried as a spinner and lazy. He is also known that it retains its unskilled jobs never last long. Several times he was terminated by the service station owner of the place, and most recently he lost his job in the city animal shelter. No one in the place takes it really seriously. The only exception is the underage boys from the neighborhood, which he presents his fantasies. The German title of the movie was inspired to John Hughes successfully produced film Home Alone, even though both films tell stories that have no relation to each other.
The feature film was broadcast several times on German television.
Criticism
The film was largely ignored by critics. In Zweitausendeins Filmlexikon you ruled " [ ... ] A below-average provincial farce whose German release title in vain for similarities with the successful " courting Kevin " comedies. [ ... ] ".
