Careggine

Careggine is an Italian commune in the province of Lucca in Tuscany with a population of 585 (as at 31 December 2012).

Carregine located in Garfagnana in a side valley of the Serchio. The municipality is part of the Natural Park of the Apuan Alps. In the district of Isola Santa Old and Middle Stone Age stone tools have been found during excavations in 1976/77.
