Borgo a Mozzano

Borgo a Mozzano is an Italian commune in the province of Lucca in Tuscany with 7123 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

The village is located about 20 km north of Lucca at the Serchio. Its landmark is the medieval bridge over the Serchio, the Ponte della Maddalena, known as Ponte del Diavolo ( Devil's Bridge ). According to tradition, Matilda of Tuscany should have prompted the construction. An arch was added during the construction of the railway line Lucca - Aulla. The village is situated on the River Lima, which flows here in the border area to Bagni di Lucca in the Serchio.

The neighboring municipalities are Bagni di Lucca, Capannori, Coreglia Antelminelli, Fabbriche di Vergemoli, Gallicano, Lucca, Pescaglia and Villa Basilica.
