Cark -in- Cartmel (often only Cark ) is a place in Cumbria, who belonged until 1974 to Lancashire. The place is situated about 3 km southwest of the town Cartmel Cartmel on the peninsula.

The station Cark -and- Cartmel on the Furness Line between Lancaster and Barrow-in- Furness, which is often referred to as Cark railway station is at the southern end of the village on the border to place Flookburgh. The station, which was opened by the Ulverston and Lancaster Railway on 1 September 1857 is also the place as Cartmel railway station. Particular importance was the station through the nearly 800 m north of the village situated property Holker Hall, which was formerly owned by the Duke of Devonshire and today is the seat of the Cavendish family, because for the Duke and his guests special waiting rooms were kept ready.
