Carlo Domeniconi

Carlo Domeniconi ( born February 20, 1947 in Cesena ) is an Italian guitarist and composer.

Life

Domeniconi learned to 1964 guitar with Carmen Lenzi - Mozzani (daughter of Luigi Mozzani ) at the Conservatory in Pesaro. Then he moved to West Berlin to study with Erich citizens, a student of Bruno Henze. He also studied composition with Heinz Friedrich Hartig at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. From 1969 to 1992 he was professor for guitar ibid. In addition, he taught from 1977 to 1980 at the State Conservatory of Istanbul.

Of the more than 20 guitar concerts, which he composed, is about half for solo guitar; the other half is for different groupings with guitar. His compositions have been influenced by Turkish, Arabic and Indian music. Guitarists such as David Russell, Carlo Marchione, John Williams, Dale Kavanagh, Shin- ichi Fukuda, Alvaro Pierri, Marco Socías Pavel Steidel and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet led to his works.
