Carlos Jara Saguier

Carlos Jara Saguier ( born November 1, 1950 in Asunción ) is a Paraguayan former football player who acted in the midfield and as a player won the championship title in Paraguay and Mexico twice each. Following his playing career Jara Saguier began a coaching career, as he does to the present.

Life

Jara Saguier began his professional career in 1968 at his hometown club Cerro Porteño, with whom he was in 1970 and 1972 Paraguayan soccer champions.

In 1975 he moved into the Mexican League, where he played the next eight years for the capital club Cruz Azul, with whom he twice won the Mexican soccer championship in seasons 1978/79 and 1979 /80.

In 1983 he returned to his home, where he first stood again at Cerro Porteño under contract and his career subsequently ended in the service of the Club General Caballero de Zeballos Cué.

Between 1971 and 1981 graduated Jara Saguier total of 24 international appearances, in which he scored two goals.

After ending his playing career Jara began a career as coach. His greatest achievement in this role was winning the silver medal with the team Paraguay in the Olympic football tournament in 2004.
