Carlos Lara

Carlos Armando Lara ( born July 27, 1934 in Argentina ), also known by the nickname " El Charro ", is a former Argentine- Mexican football player at the position of the striker, who worked as a football coach after his active career with several Mexican clubs.

Association

As far as ascertainable, Lara began his professional career in Mexico at CD Zacatepec, for whom he played 1956-1966 for a period of ten years. In the first three years at Zacatepec he won four titles and was also up to his club's relegation to the Segunda División at the end of the season 1961/62 three times top scorer in the Primera División. He remained the club in the second division 1962/ 63 are connected and managed with Zacatepec direct resurgence. After re descent to the end of the season 1965/66 Lara was transferred for a season for Deportivo Toluca FC (1966 /67), before he trailed off his active career in the next two seasons at Necaxa.

National

His career in the Mexican national was limited to a period of only five months, in which he 1961 (1-0 against Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier ) and 1 April 1962 ( 1-0 against Colombia in between October 29 a friendly match ) completed a total of four caps. But he was not part of the Mexican World Cup squad in 1962.
