Casaglione

Casaglione ( Corsican: Casaglionu ) is a commune on the west coast of Corsica with 368 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Geography

Casaglione is located about 40 km north of Ajaccio on a hillside above the coastal road to Cargese. In the coastal town belonging to the municipality Tiuccia is the local school.

History

The Château de Capraja was built by Ugo Colonna and was the seat of the Counts of Cinarca who ruled in the 13th century all Corsica.
