Witch-hunt in LA is a horror comedy from director Martin Campbell in which adapted a theme of HP Lovecraft and the America of the 40s is set. He won an Emmy Award and was nominated for three other awards. The film was produced for the U.S. television channel HBO.

Action

In Los Angeles in 1948 everything is just done with magic. The private detective Philip Lovecraft is the only man in town who does not use magic. This makes it not easy for him, as he is the richest man in town, Amos Hackshaw, commissioned him retrieve the stolen Necronomicon; a book of infinite malice, with which you can awaken demons to life. But a gang of criminals is on the search for the book.

Criticism

" In the 40's located somewhere, kinky detective game with a wealth of esoteric allusions, interwoven with a parodic subplot and staged in the colors of a comic book. "
