Celso Míguez

Celso Miguez Pereira ( born May 1, 1983 in Pontevedra ) is a Spanish racing driver.

Career

Míguez began his motorsport career in 1990 in karting, where he was active until 2000. In 2001 he was in the French Formula Campus his debut in Formula racing. In 2002 he moved to the Formula Nissan 2000 and was charged with three podium finishes Sechter overall. In addition, he joined half a season in the Spanish Formula 3 Championship, finishing in 13th place overall. In 2003, he remained in Formula Nissan 2000, which had meanwhile been renamed World Series Light, and started for Meycom. While his team-mate Juan Cruz Álvarez won the league title, the Spaniard improved to fifth overall. 2004 denied Míguez Meycom for his third season in the World Series Light. With three victories, he was behind Miloš Pavlović runner-up. He also completed two guest appearances in the Spanish Formula 3

2005 moved to Míguez Pons Racing in the World Series by Renault. While his teammate Adrián Vallés was runner-up, he scored only four points races and finished the season in 19th place overall. 2006, the Spaniards started the season with Pons Racing. After he could not keep up with his teammate James Rossiter, he was replaced after six race weekends by Tristan Gommendy. Míguez himself denied the remainder of the season for Comtec Racing. Although he was able to achieve better performance in the Comtec, by his teammate Alx Danielsson, who opted for four races during the same period and secured the league title, but he was clearly distanced. In the end, he finished in 24th place in the overall standings. In 2007, he was first in the World Series by Renault and received a cockpit at Euro International. After the first five races, he was replaced by Jaap van Lagen and finished at the end of the season the 23th place in the drivers' standings. Then the Spaniards for G -Tec took part in a race weekend of the Euro Series 3000 and achieved a podium with a third place ranking.

In 2008 he returned to the Spanish Formula 3 Championship and entered again for Meycom. With a second place as best result he finished at the end of the season on the 14th place overall. After renaming the series in European F3 Open, Míguez joined DRIVEX. The Spaniard won five races and was the pilot with the most victories. However, he was defeated Bruno Méndez at the end of the season with just two points and was runner-up.

2010 moved to Míguez RP Motorsport in the Auto GP in which he already 2007, when the series Euro Series 3000 called, was started. After the fourth race weekend he was replaced by Giacomo Ricci and finished at the end of the season with a second place as best result 14th overall. He also began the 2010 season with two race weekends for two in charge of DRIVEX teams in the Superleague Formula. After the tenth race weekend he could still unavailable finish.
