Central Hawke's Bay District

Central Hawke's Bay is a district in the east of New Zealand's North Island. It is located in the Hawke's Bay region.

Geography

The district is in the north of the Hastings District (also Hawke's Bay region ), in the northwest of the Rangitikei district, in the southwest of Manawatu and the south by the Tararua District, all three are mainly located in the Manawatu-Wanganui Region, delineated.

The east of the district is dominated by the Ruahine Range, a up to 1700 meters high central mountain chain. The eastern boundary is formed by the South Pacific. Due to this relatively isolated location, the climate differs somewhat from the west.
