A Century of Progress was the name of the second to be held in Chicago World's Fair, which split into two halves, was held on 27 May 1933 to 12 November 1933 and from 1 June to 31 October 1934 on the occasion of the centenary of Chicago. History

The exhibition was held on the same site as already the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893, namely on the shores of Lake Michigan park, which was connected by three bridges with an artificial island. The exhibition area was 172 hectares.

The time of the Great Depression exhibition planned should boost the city's economy and the confidence of the population. Her trademark was the monorail Sky Ride, visitors carried on a bridge construction over the exhibition grounds. A highlight of the World's Fair was the visit of the German airship LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin in October 1933.
