Char Dham
Char Dham (Hindi: चार धाम CAR Dham [ tʃɑ ː r d ʱ ɑ ː m] " four centers " ) is the name of a group of four Hindu pilgrimage places in India. The four pilgrimage sites are Badrinath in northern India, Dwarka in western India, Puri in eastern India and Rameswaram in South India.
A pilgrimage is the Hindu god Vishnu ( Badrinath ), one of the god Shiva ( Rameswaram ) and two are dedicated ( and Dvaraka Puri ) the god Krishna. The four places of pilgrimage each represent one of the four directions is in India that surround India.
A journey to all four places of pilgrimage which are also called dhāmans is a great merit for Hindus.
