Charice Pempengco

Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco ( born May 10, 1992 City Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines), also known as Charice, is a Filipino singer. She began her career as an Internet phenomenon on the video portal YouTube. She was dubbed by Oprah Winfrey as the " Most Talented Girl in the World" in 2010 and already published in the same year her first international album of Charice, which debuted in the Billboard 200 on the 8th Place. In addition, Charice published October 5, 2011 their second album " Infinity" in Japan.

With their hit single Pyramid, a duet with her labelmate Iyaz, she gained international attention. In 2010 she had a guest role in the TV series Glee as Sunshine Corazon in which they represented a rival of Rachel Berry.

Life

Charice is the daughter of Ricky and Raquel Pempengco and has a younger brother named Carl. At the age of four, she began singing and took seven competitions in her hometown of Laguna in the Philippines part. In 2005 she participated in the reality show called Little Big Star. On October 31, 2011, her father († 40), a construction worker, was killed in Manila in a small grocery store by a drunken customer. Charice took part in her childhood at over 100 contests, and with the prize money the family could maintain their standard of living.
