Chase & Status

Chase & Status are a London living Electronica duo, the music from the Categories Drum and Bass and Dubstep produced. With real name are the two musicians Saul Milton and Will Kennard.

Career

Initial successes they celebrated with the 12 " releases Iron Fist / Zulu King, Love 's Theme / Wise Up (Remix), Dumpling Riddim / Disco and published in 2006 single The Druids. Sure the song Come Back was included in which the rapper Top Cat the song takes over and was played at the British Radio 1 often.

Milton and Kennard, a total score three No. 1 chart positions in the UK Dance Charts. First in 2007 with the single Hurt You / Sell Me Your Soul, followed by Take Me Away / Judgement ( Informer ), 2008. On 5 October of the same year reached Pieces, taken together with Plan B, also in first place and number 70 in the national singles charts. The Single End Credits, also produced by Plan B, was a part of the soundtrack for the movie Harry Brown.

Chase & Status were involved to a large extent in the production of Rihanna's fourth studio album, Rated R ( 2009).

Albums

Their first album, More Than Alot reached on 19 October 2008 Rank 49 in the UK album charts, respectively # 2 on the dance charts. The album was via Mercury Records under the title More Than Alot: re-released New Edition including the previously available only on singles Tracks Saxon, Heartbeat (C & S Mix) and In Love (featuring Jenna G. ) on May 31, 2010.

Her second album No More Idols appeared on 31 January 2011 via Mercury Records. The duo allowed interested parties before publication on the band's YouTube channel to hear 60 seconds of all the tracks included on the album.

On October 7, 2013 their third studio album, Brand New Machine for which they collaborated with, among others, Nile Rodgers, Major Lazer and Skrillex appeared. The first single, Lost & Not Found reached number 9, the second single, Count on Me # 5 in the UK Top 40 As of 31 October 2013, Chase & Status to be seen on tour in England.

Trivia

  • The name of the company founded by the two Englishmen end of 2009 MTA Records label is derived from the title of the first album, More Than Alot.
  • The manager of Chase & Status, Joe Oakley, was also working for Pendulum.
