Skrillex

Skrillex ( born January 15, 1988 in Los Angeles; civil Sonny John Moore) is an American DJ and record producer in the field of Dubstep, brostep and Electro and former lead singer of the band From First to Last.

Biography

Sonny Moore grew up in Northeast Los Angeles. 2004, at the age of 16, he came over MySpace in contact with Matt Good from the band From First to Last and wanted to play guitar with them. After the other band members and some studio producer heard him sing, but he was made ​​the lead singer of the band. In June 2004 they released their debut album Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count at Epitaph Records. The band had several successful tours, and in March 2006 released their second album, Heroine. Finally, Sonny got voice problems and underwent successful surgery. On 27 February 2007 he announced, however, that he would leave the band to pursue a solo career.

It was not until he released some demos on his MySpace page and after a few months he went on tour with Team Sleep. In February 2008, Alternative Press Magazine announced the second annual AP Tour with All Time Low, The Rocket Summer, The Matches, Forever the Sickest Kids and Sonny Moore. During the tour included Sonny's cast Sean Friday on drums, Christopher Null on guitar, and Aaron Rother on the keyboard.

2008 Sonny also began to produce music under the alias Skrillex and had appearances in various clubs in the Los Angeles area. On 7 April 2009 appeared his first Gypsyhook EP Extended Play with three songs and four remixes. This was published under his name Sonny. He went again with different bands on tour and performed in April 2009 with the band Hollywood Undead as Sonny and the Blood Monkeys.

His first production under the name Skrillex he published on 7 June 2010 with the EP My Name Is Skrillex, which he presented as a free download. In the summer of 2010 he worked with the metalcore band Bring Me the Horizon on their third studio album There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen it. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret. Finally, he was taken from Deadmau5 mau5trap on his music label Recordings under contract and published in this his second EP Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.

In April 2011 the band Korn released the song Get Up!, Produced the Skrillex. The song was placed on her Facebook page as a free download. On 15 April 2011 also came grain on the stage during his set at the Coachella Valley Music Festival in 2011 and had a brief appearance.

August 2011 Skrillex founded his label Owsla.
