Chelsea Heights, Victoria

Chelsea Heights is a neighborhood of the Australian city of Melbourne. It is located about 30 km from the city center. 2006, the district has a population of 5,125.

Originally, the area of marsh was characterized, only a few stood out from the sand dunes, which were called Islands of Wannark laddin. From 1850 parts of the swamp were drained to gain farmland. The name Chelsea in 1882 from a population for its train station, Chelsea Station, is proposed. 1912, the entire area was renamed in Chelsea Heights.
