Chen Longcan

Chen Longcan (Chinese陈龙灿, Pinyin Chén Longcan; born March 30, 1965 in Xindu County, Sichuan ) is a Chinese table tennis player. He is a world champion and Olympic doubles and two-time world champion team.

Achievements

Chen Longcan usually played doubles with his compatriot Wei Qingguang. Between 1985 and 1989, Chen Longcan participated in three World Cups. In 1985 he reached the final, which he lost to Jiang Jialiang (China) in singles. With the Chinese team, he won the gold medal, which he defended two years later. In 1987 he was also world champion in doubles. In 1987 he was runner-up with the Chinese team. In the doubles and mixed ( with Gao Jun ) he came into the semi-finals.

In 1988 he was nominated for the Olympic Summer Games. He won with Wei Qingguang the gold medal in doubles.

From 1991 to 2000, Chen Longcan played in Japan, after which he ended his active career. He trained for a year, the Japanese Ai Fukuhara, 2001, he returned to China.
