Cheri Oteri

Cheri Oteri ( born September 19, 1962 in Upper Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania as Cheryl Ann O'Teari ) is an American actress, writer and comedian who is best known for her appearances on Saturday Night Live.

Life and career

Oteri, born 1962 in Upper Darby, retired at the age of 25 years to Los Angeles, worked for four years in the promotion department of A & M Records and then joined the comedy group The Groundlings. Her work there led to it was committed in 1995 for Saturday Night Live. There she worked primarily with Molly Shannon and Will Ferrell. Their characters on Saturday Night Live were among the other wannabe cheerleader Arianna and the outrageous talk show moderation Cass Van Rye. They parodied a number of film, television and music stars, including Fran Drescher, Cyndi Lauper, Alanis Morissette, Mariah Carey and Jack Nicholson. She also appeared in other shows and was founded in 2000 as best guest actress in the sitcom Just Shoot Me - Just Shoot nominated for an Emmy. In 2000, she left Saturday Night. Since then she appeared in several films, including Liar Liar (1997, Liar Liar ), Inspector Gadget (1999, Inspector Gadget ) ( 2000), Southland Tales (2006). For her role in Scary Movie, she won the Blockbuster Entertainment Award in the category Most Popular Supporting Actress in a Comedy. In the third part of them synchronized Shrek Sleeping Beauty.
