Chip E.

Irwin Larry Eberhart II (born 1966 in Chicago, Illinois, United States) is a well known as Chip E. American musician and DJ. He is considered one of the founders of the Chicago House.

Published in 1985 Jack Trax is one of the first House records. In an issue of the magazine Street Mix November 1986 he was first referred to as the "Godfather of House ". After a contract dispute, he finished his work at a record label and retired for five years completely from the music business.

Later he founded in Chicago high-level productions, the video production company. In 2005, Eberhart led in the documentary The Unusual Suspects: Once Upon a Time in House Music Director. The movie shows the evolution of house music through interviews with artists like Loleatta Holloway, Steve ' Silk' Hurley, Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles and Jesse Saunders.
