Cho Young-cheol

Cho Young- cheol (also Young- cheol Cho, born May 31, 1989 in Ulsan ) is a South Korean football player at the position of a striker who can be, however, used as a Attacking Allrounder in the midfield. He currently plays for Albirex Niigata in the J. League, the top division in Japanese football.

Career

Career start in Ulsan

After he attended the Haksung High School in his hometown of Ulsan, Cho came in 2007 for the first time to his first professional station, when he signed a contract with the Japanese first division side Yokohama FC. There he came in his first season in nine league games for use and ranked with the team in the final table with just 16 points in last place and so had to descend into the J. League Division 2, the second division in the J. League, compete. In J. League Cup in the 2007 season, it was no better and Cho difference in a few brief appearances with the team early in the group stage of the competition out. In the 2008 it ran a little better for the team, but it was still far from a recent rise in the Japanese excellence. Internationally

His international career started for Cho in 2007, when he was first appointed to the South Korean U-20 national team. Previously, he was but convened in South Korea U-23 national team, which also serves as an Olympic team, with which he took part in the football tournament of the Summer Olympic Games in 2008. However, he retired with the team already in the group stage as third in Group D of the ongoing tournament. During the Junior World Championships the following year, however, it was far better for South Korea, where they even penetrated into the quarter- finals and almost lost there to eventual U- 20 World Cup Ghana 2:3. After the current U-20 national team coach Hong Myung -bo sat before the tournament starts more on the Team Spirit and said that a quarter or semi-finals would be a major achievement for South Korea, this hope was in the course of the tournament also. At the World Championships of the then already 20 -year-old graduated from five matches in which he scored a goal for his team. To date (July 2, 2010) Cho came in 17 U-20 internationals for use in which he scored 15 goals and was also in five games of the Olympic team in action, where he contributed a hit.
