Choke Yasuoka

Choke Yasuoka (Japanese安岡 チョーク, Yasuoka Choku; * 1973 in Amphoe Pranburi, Thailand as Prasopchoke Klungern ) is a Thai, living today in Japan, disabled athletes.

In the years 1992, 1996 and 2000, he went to for his native country at the Paralympic Summer Games. As part of the Paralympic Summer Games in Athens in 2004 he received from the Thai Disabled Sports Association permission for Japan to compete. Four years later in Beijing, he took part once again for Japan. In the course of these participations Yasuoka could repeatedly win medals. He won bronze in Atlanta in 1996 in 10,000 meters competition. In Athens in 2004, he won gold at 800 meters in the ranking T54, silver at 400 meters in the scoring T54 and bronze in the 4x400 meters relay at the T53 - T54 rating.

Yasuoka is a longtime participant in the Oita Marathon, a wheelchair marathon competition in Japan. His first appearance was in 1990. In 2001 he got here know his Japanese wife, who was present as a translator at the marathon. In the Oita Marathon 2007, he came as the fourth to the finish and set with 1:23:23, Yasuoka was only one second behind Ernst Van Dyk, his personal best. In addition to the Oita Marathon but he was also active in other marathons, among other things, he took part in the 2008 Wheelchair Evaluation of the Boston Marathon.

Yasuoka now lives with his wife in Fukuoka.
