Christa Stubnick

Christa Stubnick (née Seliger, married Fischer, born December 12, 1933 Gardelegen, Altmark ) is a retired German sprinter who won two Olympic silver medals in 1956.

Life

The daughter of a nurse working athlete and trained as a shorthand typist. 1951 saw the track coach Max Schommler her talent and brought them out of Lok Stendal to Potsdam to Dynamo.
