Chuck Ragan

Allan Charles "Chuck" Ragan (born 30 October 1974) is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist.

Biography

From 1993 to 2006 Ragan was next to Chris Wollard lead singer of the post-hardcore band Hot Water Music from Gainesville, Florida. 2006 no longer the band decided from now on to play together, and without Ragan founded the band The Draft. Ragan himself began a solo career in which he plays acoustic guitar from folk and bluegrass influenced music as with Rumble Seat, another side project of Hot Water Music. Since then, he released a series of singles on No Idea Records, and several studio, live albums and 7 " singles on SideOneDummy and other record labels. Beginning of 2008, Hot Water Music joined together again and played in the same year some shows in the U.S. and in Europe. Since then the band is touring again at irregular intervals., 2012, published jointly with Hot Water Music, the studio album Exister Chuck Ragan.

Since 2008, Ragan organized in the United States also the Revival Tour. In this, aside from Ragan itself, other musicians, which mostly also of punk rock bands. The artists play their own songs, songs of their respective bands and cover versions in acoustic dress. 2011 was held this event first held in Germany. It was designed by Dave Ragan home ( The Loved Ones ), Dan Andriano ( Alkaline Trio ) and Brian Fallon ( The Gaslight Anthem) with guitar and vocals, and accompanied Jon Gaunt on fiddle and Joe Ginsberg on upright bass.

Chuck Ragan took a total of seven singles, one per month, on the market, which together carry the title "The 7-Inch Club". Only buyers who had pre-ordered the entire set, received copies of the singles. The collected singles were also released on a CD called The Blueprint Sessions that came with the last delivery of The 7-Inch Club.
