Chvojnica, Myjava District

Chvojnica (Hungarian Fenyvesd ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.

Location and General Description

The village was founded in 1957 from parts of the communities Castkov, Sobotište and Vrbovce, since 1960, she is an independent municipality. It is located in the municipality named after the hill country Chvojnická pahorkatina ( Chvojnicaer hills of the White Carpathians ). The municipality is located on the border between the counties of Trenčín Region and Trnavský kraj. Nové Mesto nad Váhom is located about 35 kilometers east of the community, Myjava about 10 kilometers to the east, about 15 kilometers west of Senica.
