Holdfast Bay is part of the metropolis of Adelaide, capital of South Australia. The area is 14 km ² in size and has about 33,000 inhabitants.

Holdfast Bay is located southeast of the city center approximately in the middle of the stretch of coast from Adelaide to Saint -Vincent- golf. The area includes 12 districts, including Brighton, North Brighton, South Brighton and Glenelg, Glenelg East, Glenelg North, Glenelg South and Hove, Kingston Park, furthermore still Seacliff, Seacliff Park, Somerton Park. The administrative headquarters of the council is in the Brighton neighborhood in the center of the LGA.

Management

The Holdfast Bay City Council has 13 members. 12 Councillor elected by the residents of the four Wards ( three each from Glenelg, Somerton, Brighton and Seacliff Ward). These four districts are set independently of the districts. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the City.
