The seat of the City Council is located in the town of Maitland, which has about 61,000 inhabitants.

Management

The Maitland City Council has 13 members, who are elected by the residents of the LGA. The three members are from the four Wards East, West, North and Central, the chairman and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the LGA. The four electoral districts are defined independently of the villages.
