Port Augusta is located at the northern end of Spencer Gulf about 280 km northwest of the city of Adelaide. The area includes three districts and towns: Port Augusta, Stirling North and Miranda. The administrative headquarters of the council is in the city of Port Augusta in the north of the LGA.

Management

The City Council of Port Augusta has ten members, nine Councillor and the Chairman and Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council are elected by the residents of the LGA. Port Augusta is not divided into districts.
