South Perth is part of the metropolis of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. The area is 20 km ² and has about 40,000 inhabitants.
South Perth is located on a peninsula in the confluence of the Swan River and the Canning River and is located about one to ten kilometers south of the center of Perth. The seat of the City Council is located in the district of South Perth, where about 11,300 inhabitants.
Management
The South Perth Council has 13 members, twelve Councillor elected by the residents of the six wards ( two each from Civic, Como Beach, Manning, McDougall, Mill Point, Moresby Ward). The Mayor ( Mayor ) and Council President is also elected by all residents of the City.
