Whyalla is located at the northeastern end of the Eyre Peninsula in the north of Spencer Gulf about 230 km as the crow northwest of the city of Adelaide. The area includes 15 districts and towns: Backy Bay, Cowleds Landing, Douglas Point, False Bay, Fitzgerald Bay, Mullaquana, Murninnie Beach, Nonowie, Point Lowly, Tregalana, Whyalla, Whyalla Jenkins, Whyalla Norrie, Whyalla Playford and Whyalla Stuart. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in the district of Whyalla on the Spencer Gulf in the center of the LGA.

Management

The City Council of Whyalla has eleven members, ten Councillor and the Chairman and Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council are elected by the residents of the LGA. Whyalla is not divided into districts.
