The Unicode block Unified CJK Ideographs, Extension A (English CJK Unified Ideographs Extension A, U 3400 to U 4 DBF) contains additional Chinese characters. It was added in Unicode version 3.0. The terms " Ideographs " in the original or " ideograms " in the translation are misleading because the scriptures thus shown are not strictly term writings ( cf. ideography ).
