Clare Adamson

Clare Adamson ( born August 1, 1967 in Motherwell) is a Scottish politician and member of the Scottish National Party ( SNP).

At the age of seven years Adamson and her family moved from Motherwell Wishaw, where she grew up. She attended the Glasgow Caledonian University and graduated with a Bachelor in computer science. Then Adamson was initially 15 years in this field and in 2002 in the campaign team of the SNP. Since 2007 she is member of the Council of North Lanarkshire.

At the general election in 2010 Adamson candidate for the constituency of Lanark and Hamilton East, was begun in vain for her party colleague John Wilson in the previous elections. Although Adamson received the second highest number of votes, but could not so prevail against the Labour candidate Jimmy Hood and thus failed to reach the British House of Commons. For the Scottish Parliament elections in 2011 was a candidate for the constituency Adamson Motherwell and Wishaw, but could not prevail against John Pentland of the Labour Party itself. However, due to the election result she moved through the Regional Evaluation of the SNP for the election Region Central Scotland in the Parliament.
