Clarence MacGregor

Clarence MacGregor ( born September 16, 1872 in Newark, Wayne County, New York, † February 18, 1952 in Buffalo, New York) was an American lawyer, politician of the Republican Party and longstanding member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the state of New York.

Life

After attending public schools in Gloversville, Auburn and Buffalo, as well as the completion of Hartwick Seminary, Otsego County, he attended a special course at the University of Rochester 1893-1895. After the lawyer's admission he settled down in 1897 as an attorney in Buffalo.

In addition, he began his political career in 1908 with the election of deputies of the New York State Assembly, where he remained until 1912. On 4 March 1919 he was first candidate of the Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives and was this after four re- elections until his resignation on 31 December 1928. During this time he was 1923-1938 Chairman, Committee on Accounts ( U.S. Committee on accounts).

Subsequently, he became a judge on the State of New York, the Supreme Court of the State of New York Supreme Court, and was there for fourteen years worked until his resignation on 31 December 1942. He then worked on January 7, 1943 until his death by the Supreme Court of New York publicly appointed arbitrator.
