Otsego County (New York)

Otsego County is a county located in the state of New York in the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 61 676 inhabitants and a population density of 24 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Cooperstown on Otsego Lake, the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The name Otsego is derived from an Indian word meaning place of the rocks.
