Fulton County (New York)

Fulton County is a county located in the state of New York in the United States and has approximately 55,000 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Johnstown.


The County was formed in 1838 from Montgomery County and named after Robert Fulton.


The county has an area of ​​1,380 square kilometers, of which 95 square kilometers are water surface. Fulton County is bordered on the north by Hamilton County, on the east by Saratoga County, to the south by Montgomery County and on the west by Herkimer County.
