St. Lawrence County, New York
St. Lawrence County is a county located in the state of New York in the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 111 931 inhabitants and a population density of 16 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Canton.
The county was formed on March 3, 1802 and according to the St. Lawrence River (St. Lawrence River) named.
The county has an area of 7308 square kilometers, of which 352 square kilometers are water surface. The County is the largest county by area of New York. St. Lawrence County is bordered on the north by the St. Lawrence River, which forms the border between the United States and Canada.
