Sullivan County is a county located in the state of New York in the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 73 966 inhabitants and a population density of 29 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Monticello.
The county has an area of 2,582 square kilometers, of which 70 square kilometers are water surface.
