Jefferson County (New York)

Jefferson County is a county located in the state of New York in the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 111 738 inhabitants and a population density of 34 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Watertown.

History

The county was formed on March 28, 1805 Oneida County and named after U.S. President Thomas Jefferson.

Geography
