Wayne County is a county located in the state of New York in the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 93 765 inhabitants and a population density of 60 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Lyons.
History
The county was named after Anthony Wayne.

The county has an area of 3,585 square kilometers, of which 2,020 square miles are water.
