Hamilton County (New York)
Hamilton County is a county located in the state of New York in the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 5,379 inhabitants and a population density of 1 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Lake Pleasant.
History
The county was formed on April 12, 1816 Montgomery County and named for Alexander Hamilton.
Geography
The county has an area of 4,682 square kilometers, of which 226 square kilometers are water surface.
