Classic Yes is an album by the British progressive rock band Yes from the year 1981. Yesterdays It is named after the second compilation of the band and their four tenth release. During that had focused on the early years, Classic Yes gathered pieces from the "classic" era of the band from 1970 ( The Yes Album) and 1977 ( Going for the One).
Formation
The album was released after the dissolution of the band at the end of the drama tour. It was compiled by Yes bassist Chris Squire. The first publication contained an LP with the studio tracks ( 1-7 ) and an additional single with previously unreleased live versions of Roundabout and I've Seen All Good People recorded during the Tormato Tour 1978: Roundabout is from a performance at the Oakland Coliseum (San Francisco) brought on 7 October 1978 I've Seen all Good People of a concert at Wembley Empire Pool ( UK ) on 28 October 1978. For the CD release, all songs were on a single recordings.

The fantasy artist Roger Dean used the image of Green Towers, from the design phase of an architectural project of Roger and Martyn Dean for the city of Sydney ( Australia) was provided, but was never realized for the cover.
