Cody Canada

Cody Canada ( born May 25, 1976 in Pampa, Texas) is an American country music singer of Red Dirt and Texas country music scene. He became known as the frontman of the band Cross Canadian Ragweed.

Biography

Band's career

Cody Canada was born in Pampa, Texas in 1976. With five years discovered his passion for music when his parents took him to a concert by George Strait. At eight, he began playing guitar. Together with his family, he moved as a 16- year-old Stillwater, Oklahoma. At 18, he was with Mike McClure on stage. In 1994, with drummer Randy Ragsdale and guitarist Grady Cross, the Red Cross Canadian Ragweed Dirt Band founded. Four years after its founding, the young musicians in 1998 published her first studio album. The early 2000s, Canada was able to celebrate the first major commercial successes with the group, as they managed to albums in the Top 10 on the country charts. Other projects

In November 2013 he released his first solo album Some Old, Some New, Maybe a cover or Two, which reached number 11 among others, the folk charts and # 35 on the country charts.

Private life

In 1998, Canada married his girlfriend Shannon. They supported him in addition as a manager. Together with their sons Dierks Cobain and Willy Vedder both live in New Braunfels, Texas.
